In 1994, Burapha University established the Department of Materials Science – Gemstone Technology, affiliated with the Faculty of Science at Burapha University, and began accepting its first cohort of students in the 1995 academic year. At the same time, the College of Gemmology was also established at the Chanthaburi Information Campus. The university later changed its name from Burapha University The Chanthaburi Information Campus to Burapha University. Chanthaburi Campus June 1, 2009 to the present, and changed its name from Gem College to the Faculty of Gem. Burapha University Chanthaburi Campus The main mission of the Faculty of Gem is to produce graduates in the Bachelor’s Program (Gem and Jewelry), the Bachelor’s Program (Gem and Jewelry Business), and the Bachelor’s Program (Jewelry Design). In addition to educating graduates, the Faculty of Gem also recognizes the importance of providing academic services to society. This is considered one of the university’s four main missions.
